Our AAU Program was established in 2018
Our story
We were created in 2018 in Sandusky,OH with the vision of creating opportunities for local athletes to improve their game and showcase their skills in local tournaments. Since then we have spread throughout Ohio with the help of Buckeye State Blast a great organization ran by Tyler Bates. With the help of Tyler and his organization we have been able to compete in some of the top tournaments in the country. We only look to improve and expand each year to ensure every athlete receives a quality experience they will look back on and appreciate.

You will have A LOT of fun!You will be pushed to your limits and you will grow as a basketball player!You will enjoy playing with the other kids in our program!You will get exposure and we will do our best to help you find a good fit if you want to play at the college level!Our program believes in providing a structured and competitive environment for athletes to develop skill while also providing them with constant doses of positive encouragement and support.Offensively, we believe that it is a big mistake to commit to one style of basketball at the middle school and high school levels. From team to team in a typical AAU program, the athletes are changing constantly and there are not always all of the pieces to fit a desired/particular offensive scheme. This is why we believe in adapting a base offense for each of our teams to go with sets that meet the skills of that particular roster for that season. All of our teams will be running different schemes on the offensive side of the ball. In determining what we run – we understand that it is necessary to think about personnel and evaluate things like size, athletic ability, basketball IQ, shooting, passing and ball-handling. Regardless of the offensive stuff that our teams run, we feel that it is very important to keep the ball moving, screen bodies, maintain good spacing and get consistent paint touches. All of our players will be encouraged to play aggressively on offense – with a high level of confidence from their coaches and teammates.Defensively, we hope to make teams as uncomfortable as possible. We hope to do this by switching up defenses constantly, forcing opponents off of their spots and limiting teams to one look at the basket each possession. We will try to generate points for our team on the defensive end through pressure and rebounding/running. We understand that there are many skilled offensive teams that have not met their potential because they are lacking sound defensive fundamentals – we will not allow our teams to fall into this category. We will do our best to keep the ball out of the paint – taking away many of the high percentage shots that follow penetration. Lastly, we understand that there are circumstances when a zone defense is necessary; however, when playing a zone, we still expect our teams to properly carry over our disciplined man-to-man principles.
